By Xmastree
Installed this in my truck to power 4 6.75 Pioneer door speakers and couldn't be happier with its performance! This amp is a true powerhouse. I have it at 4ohm's currently and see no reason to need more power!

By Bryan Willis
I've had the power acoustik 1200 watt 4 channel amplifier for 3 months now, and have ran it almost every single day for hours. Meaning, its taking quite a beating. Its pushing 2 pioneer 6 3/4 d1720cs and 2 jvc house speakers. Which I have to mention, I have the house speakers for the 50-250hz sound. No stock door with deadener even can accurrately reproduce these frequencies, ESPECIALLY at high volumes. So the 250hz low pass on this amp was one of the reasons I had purchased it on the spot.
The 2 house speakers are 3 ohms a piece, so instead of putting a 1.5 ohm load, I ran them in series to make 6 ohms, and bridged it to make a 3 ohm load. Sounds very...very nice. That and the pioneers together, and my 15" cvx sub make for a concert like experience. The amp doesn't get warm, until.... But its not because of the speakers...and my major issue which is...
There is no way you are using 4 guage wiring on this amp, unless you have some extremely specially made terminals, OR if you shave the wire itself. Whats the problem? For the honest power this amplifier can make, you can't give it the direct power and ground wire it needs. I can barely get it to take an 8 guage wire. Even worse that these are typical small terminals, instead of direct. If it wasn't that powerful, i could understand. But at 2ohms, i could easily see this amplifier do 400-500rms watts. You'll have this amplifier running extremely hot if you push it, if you don't have sufficient ground wiring clearance. Id say it really needs a good 4 or 6 guage.
Its a fairly large amp actually. Alittle larger than my 2000watt rms subwoofer amplifier even. Beyond the small terminals, and perhaps asking for a 350hz low pass filter for BOTH front and rear, theres not a lot to ask for. For the price, its great
